Hi!

I’m Bobbie Leigh Dewhurst of bld creative arts. I started out as a graphic designer. After many years working in that field I had a desire to take my chances in the theater world. I studied at UofMD and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in theater. That’s when I discovered scenic painting. It was a huge change from the small canvases that I painted and I absolutely loved it. It’s been a couple of decades since I began that journey. I’ve painted for many DMV area theaters, film sets, tv, and museums.

Over the last several years I’ve been focusing more on murals. Murals completely transform a space. It brings me so much joy to see the reactions of my clients when they see the final result.
